With the Kansas Comprehensive Transportation Program coming to an end in 2009, now is the time to establish an effective, successful vision for our transportation future. To that end, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is updating the state’s long range transportation plan with the intent of improving the Kansas transportation network and strengthening the economic future of the state. The plan also will meet the requirements of the Safe Accountable Flexible Efficient Transportation Equity Act—A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) law enacted in 2005.
